Gannets Bistro

Fantastic food on both occasions we have eaten there. We shan't hesitate to return.

My husband & I have visited this lovely restaurant every time we come to Aberystwyth. The food is great, the service is great. Most memorable meal was on our American holiday Thanksgiving, in November. Did we have the traditional fare of roast turkey & stuffing? Heck no! I had Welsh lamb to die for & my husband had the lasagna! It was the best non-tradition Thanksgiving we've ever had!

Had dinner at Gannets on Wed 24th June. Temperature was really high outside but the restaurant was cool and airy. Great menu and very reasonable. Only £39 for starters, main courses, one dessert, coffee and wine - amazing for the quality. Efficient and friendly service. Would love to return when in Aber again.

We were fortunate to eat at Gannets on 30th June 2009. The owners of our guest house had recommended it. How right they were! We shall be returning for more wonderful food when we take our daughter back to Aber in Sept.

Ate here for the first time in the evening last night; I usually visit in the day. Meals are generally very good and often astounding value for money; the starter that I ate cost approximately £2 and consisted of ten spiced chicken wings. I highly doubt that price covered both staff wages and the cost of base materials.

Fantastic, had a great time there Saturday night, food top notch and the service very friendly.

We resided in Aber for three years and got to know Dilys and David. They are among the nicest people we have EVER met in our World travels! Their restaurant is top notch and the service they give is excellent!

Must agree 100% with Daniel: great food, service and atmosphere. Dilys and Dave are simply the best!

Fantastic meal every time! I just cannot understand some of the negative comments on here. The proof is in the pudding, people: Gannets has been open for 25 years and is always packed on the weekends. Other Aber restaurants come and go but Gannets stays strong. What interests me by reading the posts here that it is not local people who are complaining about the food and service there!
