Probably the most strongly Welsh pub in town with a pleasant, traditional interior.

I LOVE the Llew Du (Black Lion)
went there with my mother, grandmother and aunty and my Bridesmaids (16 + 17) and my Maid of honour for a celebratory Drink and dinner. and we had a lovely time.
Staff are friendly - food was BRILL - much better than your usual Pub Grub. and the new interior is lovely!! It was great before but now its really really nice!!
i would recommend to everyone!!

I had scampi and chips and it was LUSH. (Chips can some times be a bit crap in a pub grub place - not here - top notch!!)
P.S. 16 and 17 year old cousins were not drinking!

i tried the profiteroles too-worst ever! that "chef" couldnt even bake his own bread!! and strangely, i was there when the police came to question him... much nicer now, and much, much busier. try it - you will like it now!

Had great night here last monday - quiz, a lush curry and a beer for £6! Changed the place around last year, but still same atmos. Always a great place to watch sports too.

Never go there again, use to be good food but not anymore. Just for students, not for people who want to have a nice meal. Unfortunately they changed menu last months, for worse, but i will never forget lovely profitarols I had when we came over in Nov '10with white chocolate inside, mmmm..hope they will come back on menu :)
