Spice of Bengal
A relatively new Indian restaurant and take-away with friendly staff and quite a large menu. Open until quite late in the evening, often till 2am.

"This is the worst Indian I have ever been to. The garlic naan just tasted like butter. The rice was watery and the korma and tikka masala sauce tasteless. When we mentioned this they shrugged it off. The warm hand towels they gave us were burnt and they started to clear up the plates before everyone was finished. I can't understand how they are still open." - Emma [May 2008]
"Excellent service. Love this resturant." - Lil [Aug 2007]
"I love this restaurant! I go frequently and can honestly say they do the best curries I've ever had. Their 12-5pm all-you-can-eat buffet for 5 quid is a particular bonus! I really recommend it!" - Dave [May 2007]
"Not a bad little restaurant although the dishes were not spicy enough and there was an incident on the table behind us where they were served raw chicken, although our chicken was perfectly cooked. Nice waiters, friendly service, expensive bill." - Lilly Chedder [Feb 2007]
"Good but not quite great little place. Waiters very friendly. Sauces somewhat disappointing - not enough differentiation between dishes and regional style, not desperately authentic, not enough use of fresh herbs and spices - but, still very tasty, comfy spot. They don't rush you out even when busy, and don't bat an eyelid when you bring your own wine. Been there 4 times, pretty consistent results." - Dean & Pai, Aberystwyth [May 2006]
