The countryside around Aberystwyth is ideal for walking and cycling.

Cycle Routes

• Ystwyth and Rheidol Cycle Trails
  Two local routes: the 17 mile (27 km) Rheidol trail from Aberystwyth Harbour to Devil's Bridge, and the 21 mile (34 km) Ystwyth route from Aberystwyth to Tregaron.
• Nant yr Arian
  A selection of mountain bike trails, plus a variety of other activities, are available at this forest visitor centre.
• Machynlleth Trails
  Three routes around the countryside surrounding nearby Machynlleth.

An Aberystwyth Walk

Take a leisurely hour or two to explore Aberystwyth with a self-guided walking tour.

Coastal Walk to Borth

From the top of Constitution Hill runs a well-trafficked path all the way through Clarach to the coastal resort of Borth.

The coastal path runs for five miles (8 km) right along the coast and makes for a very pleasant walk, if you don't mind one or two hills. At the Aberystwyth end, the path starts at the summit of Constitution Hill.

The walk can be completed within two hours. If you're walking in one direction only, you can complete the circuit by taking either the train or number 4 bus between Borth and Aberystwyth.
