- "They need to add more variety offering soya milk coffee substitutes and catering for your gluten sufferers, vegetarians etc. who would welcome having one of those delicious sandwich/pastries with their coffee or tea. You are missing out on a huge market to cater for people who suffer from intolerances. An avid fan of the Penguin Cafe when I come to visit." - Herbert, Devon [Aug 2007]

- "Cakes are great and the coffee I believe comes recommended. But they don't serve pots of tea! You can only get a little cup of tea which is usually quite strong." - Andra [Sep 2005]
- "Can't remember the service whilst sitting in trying to stand my spoon up in the frothy coffee but the ice cream still rates as amongst the top 5 I have ever licked, and boy have I licked ice cream." - PNG Dave
