Traditional and cosy Indian restaurant on North Parade, with a typical menu and the option to take-away too.
In the early 2000s, the Agra was popular enough to give birth to an overflow restaurant, the Agra Fort, a street away. It's seen changes since then, but remains popular with many.

Pricing: Not too bad, not extravagant, but not very inexpensive either.
Food: Decent, at least the curry I had. I heard that my friends' dishes weren't as good.
Service: This is where it really hurts. TERRIBLE. We waited forever for our food, the guy messed up our drinks, then my curry. I was so sick of fixing orders that I just said "screw it" and ate what I was served.
Overall: Pretty bad. If the service was better, the food a tiny bit better, I'd be more willing to give a good review. However, all in all, it isn't a very good place.
Poppadums crisp and chutney tray excellent. I had the onion bhajis which were lovely, Chicken Dhansak the best I have had, Pilau rice which was cooked beautifully. My daughter had the tikka masala which I tried and was beautiful. Hubby had the Madras which he says was a perfect heat, he also had chips which were just right! We ordered two naan breads which I am sorry to say went to waste as my eyes were far too big for my belly I didnt even try them. I had them wrapped to take away as I didnt want the staff to think we didnt like them as my husband who managed a third of one assured me it was lovely.
I will certainly be returning to this restaurant sadly not as soon as I'd like!
