The Scholars

Very nice, slighty rustic look inside with random paraphenalia on the walls. Large ground floor with bar in the middle gives a choice of places to sit including the weathered but ever-popular sofas at the back. Upstairs gallery level has a pool table and room for larger groups.

I love this pub, it has the most atmosphere of any pub in Aberystwyth. The staff are always happy and love to chat to the customers, I always look forward to going here for a drink

I was a student in Aber in the mid 1980s. I used to come here (it was called the Crystal Palace then) quite a lot.

It's much better now!
