Arriva Cymru provide a network of bus services to the larger surrounding towns and villages, including Aberaeron, Machynlleth, Borth, Penrhyncoch, Capel Bangor, Llanrhystud, Llanfarian and Ponterwyd among others:
All services leave from the bus station on Alexandra Road, except for the X32, X40 and X50 services which use the bus stands near the junction with Park Avenue and Chalybeate Street.
More remote areas may be served by Ceredigion's on request Taxi-Bus service or the Royal Mail Postbus service which combines carrying passengers with delivering and collecting post. Postbuses leave from inside the sorting office in Chalybeate Street.
The railway provides a quick link to Borth and Machynlleth in addition to the bus services.
